Vancouver Vacation

Tue Feb 2, 2010, 7:50 PM
Snow is a rare commodity this winter; seems to be too warm. And even more so in Vancouver, where I spent the weekend. Not good, this close to the Olympics. I don't know what everyone was thinking, anyway, holding WINTER Olympics in a coastal city. Geez.

I took a few photos while I was there, mostly of birds at Granville Island. I can't help it. I enjoy the local wildlife far more than the buildings, though I enjoy the shopping even more! :D

Where did summer go?!

Mon Dec 7, 2009, 9:47 PM
I just realized my last entry was waaaaaaay back in July, when it was probably 30 degrees outside. It's now December, and currently -11. Ew. At least there's barely any snow on the ground (for now). Work is entering its busy Christmas season, which means less peoplewatching and more omgsellsellsell.

I dunno about the rest of you, but I have no money for Christmas gifts. Makes me feel horrible. So I'm sending out Neso-themed Christmas postcards instead! Bahahaha

...and now I shall disappear for another few months. When the cold goes away, I'll be back. XD

Summer Nites

Sun Jul 19, 2009, 8:48 PM
Went to the car show yesterday (Saturday). I don't have a lot of good pics because there were far too many people getting in the way of the good shots, but I'll post the best of the best. Excuse the presence of my reflection in some of them; I had to get up close and personal in order to get any decent pictures. Also, I apologize for not knowing what most of the cars are. I love cars, but I don't know much about them. :/ If anyone knows a particular car that I don't, feel free to let me in on it :P

There are a few local fires raging at the moment. I'm alright, since I live on the opposite side of the lake from them. However, more than ten thousand people have been evacuated from Westbank/West Kelowna. Some homes have been destroyed, but from what I can tell, Nature itself is the major casualty. Let's hope most of those ten thousand plus people have homes to go back to at the end of this. I also hope not too much of Nature is destroyed, especially since it's quite possible these fires weren't natural occurrences.

Photo Dump

Sun May 10, 2009, 4:34 PM
I've been procrastinating again. I finally got around to putting up a bunch of flower photos. Most of them aren't very good, even. I do love their compositions, etc, though, so I put them up anyway. :P

I've taken to submitting most of my art as prints. Mostly because the option is there for me, but also because I need to stop being so modest about my art. :P It's nice to give people the option to buy, anyway. Speaking of, I think I should get a subscription soon, so I can actually support DA instead of just utilising it.
